Classroom Happenings July 11-14

Yesterday we had a person come and tell us about worms. The kind of worms we have are trout worms. They are awesome for the soil and we got to keep them because of our vegetables. And that's all the time we have. See you next week! ~Zach

All the reading groups finished their books. Ms. Clem's group finished Paint the Wind  and then Ben left. Now Zach had left for vacation too. We switched science group to social studies and the beef show was great!

Dr. Lauren Leach shared with us her knowledge about worms and left a worm farm for us to manage and grow.

Radio Interview

Mrs. Landess and I were honored to share about Horace Mann last week on the KFEQ "Hotline" radio show. We were interviewed by Tom Brand about interesting aspects and benefits of Horace Mann. Below is the link of our interview.

Representative Mike Thomson

We were honored to have Representative Mike Thomson in our classroom this past Thursday. He spoke with us about his role in Jefferson City and the flooding in Northwest Missouri. We are excited to have this connection as we continue to learn about Missouri throughout the year!
Below are the media links from his visit.

Classroom Happenings June 27 - July 7

This is my last week to be a reporter, so I will make this report a good one. This week was a short week, but it was a fun week. We started science! In science we sang songs, and we did things with dirt. Dirt and mud was our focus. We even made mud cake in a toy dump truck from Hayes, Mrs. Sealine's son. We ate the mud cake. (Of course it was made of real food.)You can see it was an awesome week!
